We provide education and training to help you understand your obligations and provide safe, high-quality care.
Online learning: Alis
Aged care providers and workers can access learning content on our Aged Care Learning Information Solution (Alis) learning platform.
If you have an internet connection, you can access Alis from any PC, laptop, tablet or phone device.
Alis can help you better understand:
- the Code of Conduct in Aged Care (the Code)
- the Aged Care Quality Standards (the Quality Standards)
- the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS)
- effective Incident Management Systems (IMS)
- clinical governance
- provider governance
- financial and prudential compliance
- food, nutrition, and dining.
Alis is free if you work for an approved aged care provider. Aged care learning managers and administrators can help you sign up and access our content. You must link your account to your service provider to register for Alis.
If you don't work for an approved provider, you can access Alis for an annual fee of $30 (incl. GST).
To join, go to the Alis login page and register. You’ll receive an automated email to verify your email address. You'll then either link your account to your employer or pay for content.
You can log your online learning as part of your continuing professional development (CPD).
If you need help accessing Alis, email us at education@agedcarequality.gov.au.
Linking to your employer
To access free Alis content, you must be linked to a Commonwealth-funded aged care provider as your employer.
Login and go to the Alis landing page (first page). Select the ‘Get started’ tile and follow the instructions to find and link to your organisation.
If you need help linking to your employer, email us at education@agedcarequality.gov.au.
