Serious risk decision

Following a re-accreditation audit conducted on 20-22 August 2019 a delegate of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission made a finding that The Salvation Army (Queensland) Property Trust failed to meet one Aged Care Quality Standard (Quality Standard) in relation ot Bethesda Aged Care Plus Centre.

On 8 November 2019, a decision was made that failure to meet one Quality Standard has placed the safety, health or well-being of an aged care consumer of the service at serious risk. The Department of Health has been notified of the risk.

Serious risk is not an ongoing state; it is a statutory decision based on evidence at a point in time.
