Everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect in aged care. The Aged Care Quality Standards define what good care looks like.
As part of the new Aged Care Act and regulatory model, the Quality Standards are being strengthened.
The strengthened Quality Standards will be introduced with the commencement of the new Aged Care Act. The existing Standards will remain in effect until then.
The Commission has developed a suite of provider resources on the Strengthened Quality Standards. We are currently developing resources specifically for older people and these will be available on our website in the coming months.
