Information and resources to help you find out more about aged care, your rights and speaking up when things aren’t right.
About aged care
If you need help around your home or looking after yourself and you’re aged 50 or over, you may be eligible to get aged care. You can get aged care in different ways. You can get it in your own home or in an aged care home.
Good aged care means you are safe and cared for the right way. It means respecting your connection to family, community and Country.
Your aged care needs to work for you and your family. You can yarn to your family or the people who look after you about what’s important to you and your culture – like ceremony, cooking or eating bush tucker, visiting special places on Country, painting or fishing.
