Compliance monitoring update

An assessment contact was conducted by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (Commission) on 24 January 2019 at Amaroo Gardens - Aged Care Facility to monitor the service’s progress in meeting the Accreditation Standards. The Commission found the service complies with all Accreditation Standards.

Following an audit we decided that this home met 34 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards. We decided to vary this home’s accreditation period. This home is now accredited until 13 May 2019.

Serious risk decision

On 10 December 2018 a delegate of the CEO of the Quality Agency made a decision in relation to Amaroo Gardens - Aged Care Facility that failure to meet three expected outcomes in the Accreditation Standards placed the safety, health or wellbeing of a care recipient of the service at serious risk.

An assessment contact was conducted on 24 January 2019 at Amaroo Gardens - Aged Care Facility to monitor the service’s progress. The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission found the service complies with all Accreditation Standards.
