This document explains how we approach compliance and enforcement as part of our regulatory activities. It details how we address risk in the sector and what we can do when a provider fails or refuses to comply with their aged care responsibilities. This is to part of our role to protect and enhance the safety, health, wellbeing and quality of life of older people using aged care, promote confidence and trust in the provision of aged care and promote engagement with older people about the quality of care and services.
