Sector Performance Report (Q1 July – Sept 2024) available now

Our latest Sector Performance Report is now available. The report includes data from 1 July to 30 September 2024 (Quarter 1, 2024–25).

Drawing from data on risk monitoring, audits, complaints and serious incidents, this report provides insights on the aged care sector’s performance against the Aged Care Quality Standards. The trends and patterns in the data inform our regulatory focus and actions.

Collecting and publishing this information is part of our commitment to transparency and to ensuring older people receive safe and quality aged care services.

Importantly, this report can support providers to keep improving. It is most useful when providers compare the data with their own and act on it.

This report provides detailed data on:

  • Quality Standards compliance rates for residential and home services
  • assessment of sector performance in key areas of risk
  • regulation of aged care workers, including the number of enforcement actions issued
  • the number of and incident types reported under the Serious Incident Response Scheme
  • the number, rates and types of complaints for residential and home services.

The report also covers:

  • trend analysis of data reported under the Quality Indicator Program
