The Information Publication Scheme (IPS) is a Government-wide scheme promoting a proactive, pro-disclosure approach to publishing information. The scheme covers all Government agencies subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOI Act). The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) oversees the scheme. You can find more details about the IPS on OAIC’s website.
The Commission’s IPS Plan outlines the information that we propose to publish for the purpose of the IPS, how and to whom we propose to publish that information. This is a requirement under section 8(2)(a) of the FOI Act.
