Following a site audit conducted on 27 June 2023 to 29 June 2023, the Commission made a decision on 08 August 2023 to re-accredit this service.

The period of accreditation of the service will expire on 16 October 2026.

Accreditation decision

Following a site audit conducted on 26 February 2019 to 27 February 2019, the Commission made a decision  2 April 2019 to re-accredit this service.

The decision on the service’s accreditation period was varied following reconsideration on own initiative on 04 March 2022.

The period of accreditation of the service will expire on 16 October 2023.

Following an audit we decided that this home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until 16 April 2022.

Following a site audit conducted on 29 January 2018 to 30 January 2018, a delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision on 3 April 2018 to re-accredit this service. The period of accreditation of the service will expire on 16 April 2019.

The approved provider of the service meets 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards.

Serious risk decision

On 2 January 2018 a delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision that The Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (NSW) failed to meet one of more expected outcomes in the Accreditation Standards in relation to Uniting Salamander Bay and that this failure has placed, or may place, the safety, health or wellbeing of a care recipient of the service at serious risk.

The Department of Health has been notified of the risk.

The Quality Agency will continue to monitor the performance of the service including through unannounced visits.

Following an audit we decided that this home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until 16 April 2018.
