Following a site audit conducted on 23 August 2022 to 26 August 2022, the Commission made a decision on 21 October 2022 to re-accredit this service.

The period of accreditation of the service will expire on 21 April 2025.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission has temporarily modified our Regulatory Program, including the suspension of site audits to determine whether to accredit, not to re-accredit or vary the periods of accreditation for a service. 

In order to give effect to continuity of accreditation the Department of Health has, under Section 42.5 of the Aged Care Act 1997, made a decision to grant ‘exceptional circumstances’ to this service 03 April 2023.

The service remains subject to compliance monitoring by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.

Following an assessment contact conducted on 18 February 2020 to 19 February 2020, the Commission made a decision that improvements have been made to the service to ensure that the Aged Care Quality Standards are complied with.

Following a site audit conducted on 6 August 2019 to 9 August 2019, the Commission made a decision on 19 September 2019 to re-accredit this service.

The decision on the service’s accreditation period was varied following reconsideration on 16 October 2019.

The period of accreditation of the service will expire on 3 April 2021.

Compliance monitoring update

An assessment contact was conducted by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (Commission) on 23 April 2019 at Warrigal Mount Terry to monitor the service’s progress in meeting the Accreditation Standards. The Commission found the service complies with all Accreditation Standards.

Following an audit we decided that this home met 20 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for one year until 04 October 2019.

Serious risk decision

Following a site audit conducted on 18 September 2018 to 20 September 2018, a delegate of the CEO of the Quality Agency made a decision that Warrigal Care failed to meet 24 expected outcomes in the Accreditation Standards in relation to Warrigal Mount Terry.

On 19 October 2018 a decision was made that the failure to meet one of these expected outcomes has placed the safety, health or wellbeing of care recipients of the service at serious risk. The Department of Health has been notified of the risk.

Serious risk is not an ongoing state; it is a statutory decision based on evidence at a point in time.

The Quality Agency will continue to monitor the performance of the service including through unannounced visits.

Warrigal Mount Terry (formerly Ridgeview Aged Care)

Accreditation decision

Following a review audit conducted on 4 June 2018 to 13 June 2018, a delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision on 10 August 2018 to revoke accreditation of this service. The period of accreditation of the service will expire on 4 October 2018.

The approved provider of the service meets 8 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards.

The Review Audit Report is attached.

Serious risk decision

On 22 June 2018 the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision that failure by Christadelphian Homes Limited to meet expected outcomes in the Accreditation Standards in relation to Ridgeview Aged Care placed, or may have placed, the safety, health or wellbeing of a care recipient of the service at serious risk. Serious risk is not an ongoing state; it is a statutory decision based on evidence at a point in time.

Please note: As at 14 September 2018, Warrigal Care is now the Approved Provider for this service. The service has been renamed Warrigal Mount Terry.
