Following a review audit conducted on 29 July 2020 to 03 August 2020, the Commission made a decision on 17 September 2020 not to revoke accreditation of this service. The Commission has varied the period of accreditation of this service.

The period of accreditation of the service will expire on 17 June 2021.

Non-compliance update

Following an assessment contact conducted on 3-4 March 2020, the Commission made a decision that the approved provider of the service is non-compliant five requirements of the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Serious risk decision

Following an Assessment Contact conducted between 6-7 November 2019, a delegate of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commissioner made a finding that Anglican Community services failed to meet four of the Aged Care Quality Standards (Quality Standards) in relation to Mildred Symons House.

On 12 December 2019, a decision was made that failure to meet four of the Quality Standards has placed the safety, health or well-being of aged care consumers of the service at serious risk. The Department of Health has been notified of the risk.

Serious risk is not an ongoing state; it is a statutory decision based on evidence at a point in time.

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission will continue to monitor the performance of the service including through unannounced visits.

Following a site audit the Commission made a decision on 02 September 2019 that this service met seven of the eight Aged Care Quality Standards. The service is re-accredited for three years until 30 September 2022.

Following an audit we decided that this home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until 30 September 2019
