Following a site audit conducted on 02 May 2023 to 04 May 2023, the Commission made a decision on 08 June 2023 to re-accredit this service.

The period of accreditation of the service will expire on 08 June 2026.

Exceptional Circumstances

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission has temporarily modified our Regulatory Program, including the suspension of site audits to determine whether to accredit, not to re-accredit or vary the periods of accreditation for a service. 

In order to give effect to continuity of accreditation the Department of Health has, under Section 42.5 of the Aged Care Act 1997, made a decision to grant ‘exceptional circumstances’ to this service until 10 August 2023.

The service remains subject to compliance monitoring by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.

Following a site audit the Commission made a decision on 23 December 2019 that this service met seven of the eight Aged Care Quality Standards. The service is re-accredited for three years until 10 February 2023.

Following an audit we decided that this home met 43 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for one year until 10 February 2020.

Compliance update

Following an assessment contact conducted on 6 March 2018, a delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision on 19 March 2018 that improvements have been made to the service to ensure that the Accreditation Standards are complied with.

The approved provider of the service meets 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards.

Following a review audit, an authorised delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision on 29 November 2017 to vary the period for which the service is accredited, with an accreditation expiry date of 10 June 2018.

Following reconsideration, a delegate of the CEO decided to set aside the decision made on 29 November 2017 and substitute a new decision not to vary the period of accreditation for this service. The accreditation of the service will expire 10 February 2019.

Following an audit we decided that this home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until 10 June 2018.

This decision has been reconsidered and as a result the period of accreditation for this home will now expire on 10 February 2019. The reconsideration decision and audit report is attached.
